The Salvation of Jesus Christ

Salvation is instant and available to anyone with a repented heart for their sins -- with a desire to sin no longer or live outside of the will of God... desiring to acknowledge His authority as the Creator and Savior of the world. Salvation is made available only by and through the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. In St. John Chapter 3, Jesus said that "we must be born again..." in order to enter into eternal rest, without it we enter into eternal death and separation from God. After receiving salvation, the process of sanctification begins, which takes place through and by the Power of the Holy Spirit. He enables us to lay down our sinful ways and turn from the old nature. "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17). Be not deceived, there is NO salvation without true repentance in your heart and a sincere belief in Jesus Christ as Savior of the world. Salvation leads to sanctification which leads to Holiness, in which God declares "holiness without no man shall see Him."

Once saved always saved? NO!!! One can freely turn away from God as he freely came to God. Christ said, "that I will never leave you nor forsake you" and He won't!! However, it is us that leaves Him, by the authority of our free will given to us by God. Ezekiel 3:20-21 tells us of what becomes of a righteous man that turns from his righteousness.

What happens once I'm saved?

1)  The Process of Regeneration: which is to be born again.

2)  Conversion: means repentance and faith.

3)  Justification: means right legal standing before God.

4)  Adoption: means membership in God's family.

5)  Sanctification: means growth in likeness to Christ.

6)  Baptism in and filling with the Holy Spirit.

7)  The Perseverance of the saints (Remaining a Christian)

8)  Death and the Intermediate State; the purpose of death as a Christian.

9)  Glorification; Receiving a Resurrection Body

10)  Eternal union with Christ in the New Jerusalem here on Earth.
